Public Grievance Day Meeting at Coimbatore Municipal Corporation Office: 46 Petitions Received

A public grievance day meeting was held today (21.01.2025) at the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation’s main office under the leadership of Honorable Mayor Mrs. K. Ranganayaki Ramachandran, and presided over by Corporation Commissioner Mr. M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, IAS.

During the meeting, citizens from various regions under the municipal corporation submitted a total of 46 petitions. These petitions covered requests related to fundamental services such as birth and death certificates, road facilities, streetlights, drinking water, underground drainage, professional tax, property tax, vacant land tax, new water connections, name changes, medical services, health, and education.

The petitions were distributed as follows: 8 from the East Zone, 3 from the West Zone, 8 from the North Zone, 12 from the South Zone, 12 from the Central Zone, and 3 from the main office, totaling 46 petitions.

The Corporation Commissioner, Mr. M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, IAS, received the petitions and instructed the respective assistant commissioners, engineers, and officers to take immediate action on them.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Collector (Trainee) Mr. Ankit Kumar Jain, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Mrs. A. Sultana, Town Welfare Officer Mr. A. Mohan, Town Planning Officer Mr. Kumar, Municipal Education Officer Mr. Gunasekaran, and various assistant engineers, sanitary inspectors, and health officers from the corporation. A large number of public participants were also present.
