IT Company in Coimbatore Shuts Down Suddenly; Announces One Month Salary and PF Payment

An IT company in Coimbatore that was shut down without prior notice has announced that it will provide the January salary to its employees.

Focus Edumatics Private Limited, which operated in R.S. Puram and Sungam areas of Coimbatore, employed over 3,000 workers. The company was engaged in conducting online classes for students in the United States, with employees ranging from two to twelve years of service.

On January 25, employees were shocked when the company abruptly announced its closure via a single email, without providing a detailed explanation. This sudden decision left the employees in distress.

Protesting against the unexpected shutdown, the employees submitted a petition at the Coimbatore District Collector’s office yesterday, urging immediate intervention and necessary action.

Following this, Focus Edumatics Private Limited sent an email today (January 28) stating that employees will receive their January salary, provident fund (PF) contributions will be settled, and gratuity payments will be made to employees who have completed over five years of service.
