A special conference on “Drinking From the Tap” for Southern states was held today (January 31, 2025) at the Residency Towers conference hall, Avinashi Road, Coimbatore. The event was organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, and Coimbatore Municipal Corporation.
The conference was inaugurated by Coimbatore Mayor, Mrs. Ranganayaki Ramachandran, along with Mr. Vivekanandan, Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation, and Mr. M. Sivakumar Prabhakaran, Commissioner of Coimbatore Municipal Corporation. The event was led by Mrs. Isha Kalia, Director of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (AMRUT 2.0).
Also present at the event were Assistant Collector (Training) Mr. Ankit Kumar Jain, Deputy Commissioner Mr. T. Kumareshan, Chief Engineer of Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board Mr. Sellamuthu, Regional Council Heads Mrs. Ilakkiya Ilanchelvi Karthik (East), Mrs. K.A. Deivayanai Tamilmarai (West), Mr. V. Kathirvel (North), Mrs. R. Dhanalakshmi (South), Mrs. Meena Logu (Central), Works Committee Head Mr. Santhimurugan, and many municipal officers, including the Municipal Chief Engineer (Pro) Mr. Murugesan.
