A video of an approximately 8-foot-long mountain cobra being captured in a residential area near Sirumugai, Coimbatore, has gone viral on social media.
On January 21, a mountain cobra was spotted hiding in a residential area near the Muthusamy Marriage Hall in the Metupalayam, Sirumugai region. Local residents noticed the snake and immediately informed the Forest Ranger, Manoj.
Upon receiving the information, snake catcher Guna and forest officials rushed to the location. After a long battle, they successfully captured the 8-foot-long mountain cobra, which was hiding in the nearby bushes.
Following the capture, the snake was released into a forest area far from the residential area.
